Board Members

Ken Knoblock

President

Ken moved to Denver in 2004 and has lived in Athmar Park for 5 years with his wife. He loves the friendly people, beautiful parks, diversity, and sense of community in Athmar. He hopes to create a board that promotes inclusion, engagement, and positive change in the neighborhood. When not working or volunteering you can find Ken working in his woodshop, garden, or out biking.

Erran Willoughby

Vice President

I moved to Denver from Maine in 2002 and into Athmar Park in 2010. I’ve always enjoyed helping others and being involved with my community. I was originally attracted to Athmar Park by its parks, proximity to downtown and community feel. By joining Athmar Park Neighborhood Association I hope to continue its great history of community events and expand community involvement making this a great neighborhood to live in. When I’m home you can usually find me working in the yard or garden, running at Huston Lake Park or walking my dog. I also enjoy spending time in mountains hiking, skiing or relaxing at a brewery with friends.

Kelly Dillon

Treasurer

Kelly is the neighborhood treasurer and has been living in Athmar Park with her boyfriend Kyle since 2015. Prior to that, she lived in Chicago and is originally from Michigan. She works for a mid-size accounting firm in downtown Denver, and graduated from the University of Denver with a Master of Accountancy degree. Kelly enjoys outdoor activities with her dog, Luna, exploring the neighborhood, and learning to ski. Her favorite part of the neighborhood is the great neighbors and Huston Lake Park. Kelly is excited to be involved with a great community leadership group like APNA and is always looking for ways to help improve the park and surrounding area. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve as the neighborhood treasurer and hopes to do so for many years to come.

Secretary

Being a Colorado Native and have been in and out of the Athmar Park area for the past 39 years I have had the pleasure of growing up in the neighborhood and now raising my 3 children where I grew up is a wonderful feeling.  Currently I have had the fulfilling opportunity of also be working in the Athmar Park area as a Staff Accountant for a Family Owned Flooring and Countertop Company.  Outside of raising 3 young adults, working and being active in my community, we enjoy spending time together as a family by taking vacations and enjoying the great outdoors that Colorado has to offer.  Looking forward to working even closer with our community and making it a great place for our families and future families.

Karolina Villagrana

At-Large

Karolina is proudly born and raised in Denver and grew up mostly in Park Hill and the Montbello area. In college she had the opportunity to intern former US Senator Ken Salazar but found her interest in serving locally with former Councilman Paul Lopez, where she fell in love with the Southwest Community. Her passion always laid within education, where after college she began her career as a teacher and has been in education for over 10 years. Aside from her passion within education- she loves spending time with her fiance Nicholas and her “puppies” Luna and Simba. As a resident of Athmar since 2016, she is thrilled in joining the Athmar Neighborhood Association and being part of the community.

Lauren Howe

At-Large

Lauren grew up in Western Massachusetts and moved to Denver in 2014 for her first job out of college: supporting school gardens across the country for the nonprofit Slow Food USA (which has a mission of Good, Clean and Fair Food for All). She and her husband Dain, a professional chef and farmer, moved to Athmar Park in 2020 and are so excited to put roots down in this diverse neighborhood where they already had good friends and a sense of community. She joined the APNA board in April 2021 as the Active Living Coalition Chair because she has a passion for community building/service, health equity, and joy through physical movement. She is the Program Administrator for the Healthy Food for Denver Kids grant program out of the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment, work that is very near and dear to her heart, having been involved in sustainable and equitable food systems for the last decade. In her free time, you can find Lauren riding her bike, jogging or walking her black lab around Huston Lake Park, practicing yoga, exploring the delicious restaurants and food markets on Federal and Alameda, gardening or cooking delicious meals with Dain.

Rhett Buckley

At-Large

Hello, I moved to Athmar Park in summer of 2015. Originally from Kansas City, I met my wife in law school and followed her back to Denver. When I’m not busy running my own law firm, I spend my time home brewing, hiking, and making BBQ. If you’ve seen a tall blond man running up and down the streets of Athmar, it was probably me
