THIS SATURDAY, August 8th is the Annual Athmar Picnic!

The 24th annual Athmar Park Potluck Picnic is coming up.  Please come out and meet your neighbors.  We will supply burgers, brats, hot dogs, and drinks.  Please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert.  Bring whatever you make best!  There will be live entertainment, face painting, door prizes, and maybe a firetruck.
Please note changes to the date and place.  The picnic will be on Saturday, August 8th, from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm.  We will set up on the west side of the lake along S. Clay St..
There is still time to volunteer to make this a successful event.  Anyone able to bring chairs, tables, canopies, or help with setting up / cleaning up, or help get last minute donations, can contact Sherrie Miller at
The picnic also serves as a general membership meeting and will host the board election.  Please join us and share any concerns / accolades about the neighborhood and hear the latest news.APNA Board Elections
Elections for APNA board members will be Sunday, August 8th.  Ballots can be submitted between noon and4pm during the Annual Picnic.  We will be located along W. Clay St. and the west side of Huston Lake Park.
APNA board members are elected to two-year terms with the board elected annually.  Board members elected at this time will take office in Jan. 2016.  All officers should attend each of the monthly meetings.

This year the following officers will be elected:
President – The president is the principal executive officer.  Subject to the control of the Board, they shall manage all of the business affairs for APNA.  The president shall preside at all meetings.
Recording Secretary – The recording secretary shall keep minutes of the proceedings of the membership and of the Board, keep all documents and records pertaining to the operation and activities of APNA and file all reports required pursuant to the law.
Newsletter Editor – The newsletter editor shall be responsible for the publication of the APNA newsletter and for supervising distribution of the newsletter to all APNA members.
4 At-Large Directors – The directors have a vote at all Board Meetings.

Please notify Sherrie Miller at if you would like to be added to the ballot or have any questions about board positions.  Most of the current officers are running for re-election.  We are always looking for new blood whether it is as a board member, someone looking to chair a current committee or establish a new one, or just the occasional help with projects.
