Neighborhood Cleanup on Saturday April 26th from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM
As part of The Great Denver Cleanup the neighborhood will be doing a cleanup along Mississippi Avenue this coming Saturday.

We will be meeting at the DMV at Mississippi and Raritan.

We are still looking for munchies, so if anyone knows of a place that might donate some pastries,
please send me an email: president@athmarpark.com

Here is the link to RSVP for the cleanup: https://www.facebook.com/events/1481789785370304/

The city will also have dumpsters setup at the DMV, so if you have anything that you need to get rid of, this is the time.

A Unique Artistic Opportunity for the Neighborhood ( a letter from a local artist):
I am writing to seek the support and collaboration of the Athmar Park Neighborhood Association.

I came across an opportunity that hopefully will be mutually beneficial to us: P.S. You Are Here:

http://artsandvenuesdenver.com/create-denver/ps-you-are-here/program-guidelines/

My hope is to install a sound piece into interested neighborhoods. Mainly, I need your support in agreeing that you are interested.

As an artist, I have been working on a series of public music boxes, a way of combining my service to community and art work.
I’m not sure it you have had the opportunity to experience on in person, but there is one installed at
17th and Washington (NW corner – pics attached).

Should I be granted funding, I will work together with your community to find the appropriate location/s and seek out the
best local musician for the music component.

The resulting media will be showcased in an interactive geo-tagged archive and a TV series on the future of the American city.
